Umar Salisu Ahmad
I am a passionate renewable energy enthusiast with strong analytical and empirical experience. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Mechatronics Engineering at Sabancı University, Istanbul, where my research on Integrated Optimization for Sustainable Multi‑Vector Energy Systems focuses on human‑centered energy systems and multi‑energy management. I hold a First-Class Bachelor of Science in Electronics from Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria, and a Distinction in Master of Science in Renewable Energy Development from Heriot‑Watt University, UK. Professionally, I have worked as a freelance renewable energy specialist since 2020, specializing in solar power system design, installation, and performance analysis, while training students to bridge theory with practice. My research spans behaviorally constrained multi-energy operational scheduling, mixed-integer linear programming, battery energy storage system design, biodiesel catalyst optimization, and grid-connection simulations for renewable development. I am skilled in socio-technical analysis of multi-energy vector optimization, techno‑economic analysis of green hydrogen production, renewable energy systems design, and techno‑economic modeling, supported by certifications in Python computing, energy transition, climate change economics, and ESG essentials.
